Joan is a TESOL-qualified English Language Teacher with more than ten years of experience in the field and currently a lecturer in the university. She has an extensive experience in teaching students from different cultural backgrounds though she has mainly focused on Korean students for exam-based classes as IELTS and TOEFL. For years, she has also provided trainings to IELTS teachers in the Philippines. In training teachers, she always gives emphasis on the four P’s of a great educator: Personality, Presence, Preparation, and most importantly Passion. If teachers can achieve a balance of these four properties, they can be more than effective in their craft and help individuals become highly effective people as well.
